Accepting submissions for Volume 18 now!

Each year the Chaffey Review establishes a theme for its submissions to be reviewed for the pre-production volume. The incorporation of the theme is uniquely crafted by each individual artist and their submission of choice.


Volume 18's Theme: Polarity 


Polarity is the state of having two opposite or contradictory tendencies, opinions, or aspects

When submitting to The Chaffey Review, please adhere to the following requirements:

Written Submissions:

  • All manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced.

  • Text should be 12 point Times New Roman in black ink with 1" margins.

  • Each poetry submission must be on a separate page.


  • First page must be numbered with author's name, title of work, and genre.

  • Prose entries are subject to a 10 page maximum. Poetry is subject to a 5 pages.

  • Submissions need to be .doc, .rtf, or .pdf. 

  • .wps and .xml are NOT accepted.


Art Submissions:

  • Photography, drawings, paintings, or digital art pieces MUST be submitted as a high resolution .pdf, .jpeg, or .tif.

  • Include artist name, media, and materials used.

Music Submissions:

  • All tracks must be iTunes compatible.

  • Include the following in the Track information: Track Name, Artists Name, Album Name, List album artist as "Chaffey Review V. 16 Submission" Year 2017, BMP if known and any additional information such as the artist's website in the comments.

  • Do not include Track Number or Disk Number.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but all work MUST be previously unpublished.

All rights revert back to the author/artist after publication.
